AI is moving fast. Great teaching puts it to work with purpose.
On October 14–15, JFYNetWorks heads to MassCUE Fall 2026 at Gillette Stadium, joining educators, administrators, and education technology leaders to explore practical approaches to teaching and learning.
Through two conference sessions and live demonstrations in the Nonprofit Hall, JFY will showcase how AI can support effective instruction, encourage student thinking, and strengthen learning outcomes.
The focus is clear: putting technology to work in ways that support teachers while keeping students actively engaged in their own learning.
From Catching Cheaters to Coaching Creators
As AI becomes increasingly accessible to students, educators face an important question: How can these tools support learning without replacing the thinking and creativity students need to develop?
JFY’s MassCUE presentation, From Catching Cheaters to Coaching Creators: Collaborating with AI to Cultivate Creativity, Curiosity, and Critical Thinking, explores a shift in instructional thinking.
Rather than asking primarily whether AI generated a student’s work, the presentation considers a more productive question: How can educators make student thinking visible?
Using Google Gemini as a Socratic coach, teachers can guide students through questions, prompts, and feedback that encourage them to develop ideas, organize their thinking, and strengthen their writing.
The presentation introduces a four-part coaching workflow—Process, Thesis, Outline, and Revision—along with instructional boundaries that keep students responsible for their own work.
AI supports the process. Students remain the thinkers, creators, and authors.
It’s a practical example of how AI can serve as a teaching partner without replacing the essential role of the educator.

Moving Forward with Purpose
At JFYNetWorks, successful AI integration begins with instructional purpose—not simply adopting the latest technology.
Our work focuses on helping educators translate emerging AI capabilities into practical strategies that support student engagement, strengthen essential skills, and keep teachers at the center of learning.
MassCUE offers an opportunity to share those approaches, exchange ideas, and connect with educators navigating the evolving role of AI in their schools.
