JFYNetWorks Website Privacy Policy

LAST UPDATED: May 2022

PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY

JFYNetWorks (referred to herein as “JFY,” “we,” “us” and “our”) is committed to respecting your privacy.  This Privacy Policy describes our collection of personal information in connection with your access and use of our website located at www.jfynet.org and our Connected Learning Portal (collectively, the “Website”). Additionally, this Privacy Policy describes how we use and share that information. Please take the time to read this Privacy Policy.

By continuing to use the Website after having an opportunity to review this Privacy Policy, you have accepted the Privacy Policy in its entirety and without modification and consented to our collection, use and sharing of your information, as described in this Privacy Policy.  If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please exit and do not use the Website.

We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically and will post any changes to the Website. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective at the time they are posted and your continued use of our Website after posting will constitute acceptance of those changes.  We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy from time to time.

 1. Children’s Privacy.

Protecting the privacy of children is especially important to JFY. For that reason, we permit a child under the age of 13 to register an account via the Website (a “JFY Account”) only under the supervision of the child’s school, and we rely on the school to provide consent on behalf of the child’s parent or legal guardian.

We have implemented additional controls and procedures for use of the Website through JFY Accounts registered for students by schools, school districts and teachers for educational purposes. When the Website is used as part of the school’s educational program, the personal information related to the school’s student users may include information defined as “education records” by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”) or other information protected by similar state student data privacy laws. Our collection and use of this information is governed by our contracts with schools, by our Privacy Policy, and by applicable privacy laws. If you have any questions about reviewing, modifying, or deleting the personal information of your child who is using the Website (including via a JFY Account) in connection with his or her school, please contact your child’s school directly.
