New principal, new narrative
Brockton High School has been in the news lately more than any other school in the Commonwealth. Much of the coverage has been less than positive. But the story of the state’s largest high school– 3500 students, more than many districts—is not a single narrative. It is a complex web of ramifying strands. The job of untangling those threads and re-weaving them into a coherent harmonious tapestry falls to the principal.
Kevin McCaskill took his place at the BHS loom just a few months ago. He has already established his distinctive resonant narrative voice, one that JFY has long recognized in podcasts. We are glad to see the Bay State Banner amplify that voice. We look forward to hearing it loud and clear as he tells the unfolding story of Brockton High’s ascendance.
Brockton High School is a JFYNet partner school. JFY has worked with Kevin McCaskill in three previous districts over a period of twenty years.
