Students, Demonstrators Gather at Madison Park Technical Vocational High School to Rally on Boston Common
Students come together with united message
Students galvanized by last month’s deadly school shooting in Florida led tens of thousands of demonstrators Saturday in a march and rally in Boston to push for stronger gun control and draw attention to the stark toll that gun violence takes on communities of color.
The demonstration started in Roxbury, where participants gathered at Madison Park Technical Vocational High School to march to the Common. The rally and walk were peaceful and officers made no arrests.

Greater Lowell Tech Goes Red for Heart Health
Greater Lowell Technical High School recently hosted an educational event focusing on healthy living and heart health. Students collaborated with the American Heart Association to unite on National Wear Red Day.
A high point of the event was when students, staff, School Committee members and industry partners came together to proudly display the Governor’s Citation recognizing Greater Lowell Tech’s commitment to supporting the American Heart Association and promoting cardiovascular health and healthy living.

Holyoke HS Students help kids learn a thing or two about the joy of reading
Holyoke students enjoyed their own twist on the nationwide celebration of Read Across America, which culminated in Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Students went to school wearing crazy hats and hairstyles. The day began with an assembly in the gym, where the Holyoke High School speech and drama class presented dramatic readings of “Horton Hears a Who!” and “The Lorax.”
