EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

We are seeking a super-organized, highly skilled, energetic individual to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to become involved with an innovative technology-driven program model.

The Executive Assistant will support a small professional staff that includes an executive team and field specialists, and will share database management responsibilities. The EA position requires proven facility with Microsoft Office applications, text editing, and internet research. The EA must be collegial, disciplined, well organized, detail –oriented, flexible, discreet, punctual and dependable, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively. The ability to communicate and work well with all levels of staff, clients and vendors is essential.

Responsibilities:

Administrative support

  • Maintain master calendars on Outlook
  • Maintain Outlook contacts
  • Draft and edit documents
  • Prepare analytical spreadsheet reports
  • Prepare and edit Power Point presentations
  • Data entry and maintenance of mailing list and donor databases
  • Maintain donor database and draft donor acknowledgement letters
  • Coordinate seasonal bulk mail production including using mail merge to produce labels and form letters
  • Assist in the maintenance of JFY’s social media presence, including some content editing

General Office Management

  • Routine correspondence, data entry, photocopying and filing
  • Track and maintain inventory of standard office supplies
  • Organize and maintain electronic and paper files
  • Troubleshoot problems with office machines, and contact service vendors when needed
  • Answer, screen and direct phone inquiries
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree. Recent Office skills certification would be a plus.
  • Minimum 1-3 years successful and recent experience. Successful project coordination experience would be a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Office applications, esp. Excel, WORD, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Facility with spreadsheets, mail merges, and presentations
  • Facility with social media, eg, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Blogs
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other customer relations management application would be a plus
  • Experience using and troubleshooting standard office machines (phone, copier, printer, fax, postage)
  • Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

We are seeking talented, analytic, energetic and creative individuals to join our team to lead the transition to the emerging PARCC environment, develop and maintain relationships with teachers and administrators to implement blended learning strategies that improve teaching and learning. The goal is to help all students meet college entry standards.

Reporting to the executive director, the program director is part of the executive team, and is responsible for the implementation and strategic expansion of a statewide blended learning college readiness program at partner high schools and community colleges in MA. In addition to staff supervision this position works closely with the executive director on recruitment of partner schools and partner relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a field staff of 3-5 blended learning specialists
  • Conduct initial assessment of existing and prospective partner sites re: needs, organizational infrastructure (staff and technical capacity), and administrative support
  • Facilitate memoranda of agreement and contracts between JFYNetWorks and partners
  • Manage partner relationships to identify ongoing program needs, design program structure and customize curriculum
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational difficulties with partners and field staff
  • Participate in marketing and business development with the executive team, including making presentations
  • Recruit, train and support new blended learning specialists
  • Maintain and analyze data collected from sites and produce reports for management, partners, board, evaluators, funders, and external authorities as required
  • Keep informed of MA education policy (K-12 and High Ed.) regarding college and career readiness

Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • Successful multi-site project management experience, including programs, people, details and deadlines
  • Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and negotiating skills, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Experience with blended learning strategies and instructional design
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
  • Proven HR experience, especially with staff performance evaluation
  • Proven data analysis expertise, with particular emphasis on program outcomes and impact, and using data to inform programmatic decisions
  • Understanding of issues that both hinder and improve college readiness for low-income high school students
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including social media and presentation skills
  • Proven facility with spreadsheets, databases and presentation software

INDIVIDUAL GIVING and DONOR RELATIONS MANAGER

Building on the existing development program of foundation and corporate philanthropy, the Individual Giving and Donor Relations Manager will help build an individual giving program to support the JFYNetWorks blended learning model of assessment and targeted instruction that facilitates successful transitions from high school to college. You will work with the executive team to implement a major donor acquisition campaign and stewardship plan for new and existing donor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the annual fund
  • Identify and research new donor prospects, prepare cultivation strategies, and schedule donor meetings
  • Manage JFYNetWorks’ online profiles, e.g. The Giving Common, Guidestar, Charity Navigator
  • Manage donor and prospect lists, and track deadlines
  • Create and prepare solicitation and appeal letters, and other donor-centered communication
  • Create a stewardship plan, and manage the stewardship of all donors, including donor acknowledgements and other stewardship correspondence
  • Assist in the planning of a special event

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years successful individual fundraising, preferably for non-profit educational and/or youth-serving organizations
  • Successful cultivation of major donors and high net-worth individuals
  • Proven experience implementing annual fund campaigns
  • Proven proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM or donor database
  • Experience with The Giving Common and/or Guidestar
  • Proven proficiency with MS Office applications, especially WORD, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent writing, listening and oral communication skills, including preparation and delivery of winning presentations, copy editing and proofreading, and high level conversations with donors
  • Proven project management skills, including managing multiple priorities
  • Precise attention to details and strict adherence to deadlines
  • Experienced user of social media – e.g. website, blogs, Twitter, LinkedIn — for fundraising
  • A passion for the mission of JFYNetWorks and the ability to persuade others
  • Comfort working in a small shop environment

JFYNet BLENDED LEARNING SPECIALIST

We are seeking talented, analytic, energetic and creative individuals to join our team, to develop and maintain relationships with teachers and key administrators to implement blended learning strategies that improve teaching and learning. The goal is to help all students meet college entry standards.

Candidates will be able to facilitate blended learning integration, using the best online tools and best blended learning practices; will be committed to the most effective teaching practices; and have experience using data-driven assessment and instructional strategies.

Blended Learning Specialists work with teachers to align and adapt online resources to state and local performance standards and to existing classroom curricula. The goal is to help students and teachers benefit fully from instructional technology resources.

JFYNet focuses on the teaching and learning of subject content and mastery of competencies essential for college access and persistence, especially for at-risk students.

JFYNet partners with schools to support teachers and administrators in their efforts to meet state and federal student performance standards, including Common Core, MCAS, PARCC and Accuplacer. The focus of JFYNet is to ensure that students and teachers take full advantage of available online resources in their pursuit of academic success.

JFYNet‘s onsite professional development, including assessment, curriculum development, data analysis, coaching and technical support, enables teachers to use online resources to address differentiated learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with school personnel
  • Administering online assessments

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree , Master’s preferred
  • Valid Massachusetts DESE teacher licensure preferred
  • Online/blended learning experience
  • Experience with Accuplacer or other college placement assessments
  • Strong data analysis skills, including preparation of statistical reports
  • Strong writing and speaking skills
  • Technology skills, including hardware/software troubleshooting, and spreadsheet/database/presentation office applications
  • Teacher training experience, especially with educational technology, including the ability to facilitate training in online assessment systems
  • Knowledge of MA curriculum frameworks/Common Core, MCAS and PARCC, Accuplacer, curriculum, instruction, and assessment
  • Experience with Moodle or other learning management systems
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with students, teachers, administrators and district level staff; ability to maintain effective and professional collegial relationships
  • Strong leadership, team-building, problem solving, presentation, organizational, and facilitation skills Experience working with diverse student populations
